1 · Sector interoperability
A dedicated standard works inside one domain
Like ISOBUS between tractors and implements: a shared language and protocol that works well within the agricultural sector.
About us
VAIMEE builds interoperable digital twins — software that keeps a faithful, live model of something real and makes it useful to the people responsible for it. We are a spin-off of the University of Bologna, and our first twin, Agorà, helps farmers make every drop count.
ვაიმე
vaime · /vaɪmɜ/
Where the name comes from
Vaime is a Georgian exclamation of surprise, astonishment and wonder — like the English “Oh my!”. It is the reaction we hope for the first time someone sees what their data, or their water, can do.
Our work rests on an open, replicable and scalable model, applied where data is highly heterogeneous, dynamic and unstructured — combining knowledge graphs, artificial intelligence, digital twins and the Internet of Things.
We use data to guide you to make the right decisions.
For you, for us
We combine data based on models developed in partnership.
With you, with us
We work alongside you to turn numbers into a driver of sustainable impact.
For the future of all
Milky Data Way (MDW)® is our interoperable platform for building digital twins. Agorà is the first; the same core powers new applications for agriculture and beyond.
It is built on open standards and open source: RDF, OWL and SPARQL, and powered by SEPA (SPARQL Event Processing Architecture).
Data collection & integration
Weather, soil, sensors, satellite and farm software brought into one live graph.
Interoperability & standards
Semantic models instead of one-off connectors, so new sources plug in without rewrites.
Security & governance
Control over who shares what, ready for European Data Spaces.
Scalability & reliability
From one plot to a region, from one twin to many.
Context-driven AI
AI and models work on data that carries its meaning with it — for predictions, recommendations, optimisation and automation.
Interoperability, AI and models
1 · Sector interoperability
Like ISOBUS between tractors and implements: a shared language and protocol that works well within the agricultural sector.
2 · Across domains and ecosystems
Weather, irrigation, sensors, farm management, logistics and markets use different standards. A knowledge graph models their meaning, relationships and context — and connects them to AI, models and European Data Spaces.

Our history
Interoperability is the unglamorous obstacle between good models and useful software. We built the layer that solves it — then used it to help farmers save water.
